Vision
By fulfilling its mission, this center aims to establish a suitable platform for conducting fundamental, applied, effective, and technological research in the field of services pertaining to prevention, care, education, counseling, and rehabilitation, with the goal of enhancing the quality of reproductive health, family well-being, and the overall quality and quantity of the population in the country.

Special Purpose:
Goal 1: To expand quantitative and qualitative effective and technological research based on the needs of individuals, families, and society.
Objective 1 (O1): Provide increased support for conducting applied, effective, and technological research aligned with research priorities by engaging university research councils and the applied research offices of vice-chancellors.
Objective 2 (O2): Execute joint research projects with executive organizations and provincial/country institutions to address the research priorities of those organizations and institutions.
Strengths: Competent faculty members capable of conducting quantitative and qualitative projects, availability of university infrastructure and its sub-committees.
Weaknesses: Lack of an independent budget line.
Threat: Limitation of 5 research projects with costs at the same time for each faculty.
Opportunity: Access to hospitals, clinical departments, and healthcare centers as research fields, and engagement with university subcommittees.
Strategy: Implement practical and effective quantitative and qualitative research across various aspects of reproductive health, family, and population.
Goal 2: Improve the quality and quantity of research, focusing on university research and supporting researchers in this field.
Objective 1 (O1): Increase the number of research projects aligned with the stated goals of the center.
Objective 2 (O2): Define and continuously review the center’s research priorities, ensuring alignment with the mission and vision.
Strengths: Defined research priorities and feedback from the population base.
Weaknesses: Inadequate funds, lack of equipment, and facilities.
Threat: Insufficient support for researchers due to funding constraints.
Opportunity: Collaboration with a wide range of relevant academic and non-academic entities in areas related to family and population, such as the governorate, women’s affairs of the governorate, and other universities in Kerman province.
Strategy: Conduct numerous workshops by inviting distinguished professors to support faculty members and graduate students.

Threat: Absence of a specific mechanism and process to systematically present research results to the relevant field.
Opportunity: Employees interested in learning about the results of practical and effective research.
Strategy: Present the results of applied research to the relevant field in the form of effective plans in order to enhance the use of research results in solving problems and raising awareness of the importance of research in reproductive, family, and population health.

Threat: Inadequate allocation of specialized personnel in the field of information technology by the ministry or university due to recruitment challenges.
Opportunity: The presence of a link to the center’s website on the main page of the university and faculty website.
Strategy: Pursue the hiring of experts and specialists in the field of information technology to address the lack of IT expertise and strengthen the center’s ability to improve its scientific and research information services.

Objective 3 (O3): Cooperate in indexing the English-language journal and Scopus for qualitative research in health sciences (Journal of Qualitative Research in Health Sciences) in the PubMed international database.
Strengths: Presence of a qualitative research journal in health sciences at the university, involving faculty members from the university and other international institutions. Interest of faculty members in publishing their research articles in international journals.
Weaknesses: Lack of distinction between projects with effective results and other research projects.
Threat: Inadequate financial support to publish articles in international journals.
Opportunity: Allocation of research points by the research vice-chancellor to articles published in reputable international databases.
Strategy: Initiate a call for the submission of results from effective projects and reporting these outcomes to the vice president of research and related fields. Establish a knowledge translation committee in the center.
